COUSINS

WE ARE FAMILY

Such cute kids... So much fun to have cousins :) Wish we could have gotten all the girls together, but as you can see Katelyn was not excited about pictures and Lauren was done and wouldn't take any more pictures. I can't believe how grown up everyone is getting. But so many fun memories they have with each other. Can't wait for the next group picture hopefully we can have them all there to be in the pictures and warmer weather to do them outside.

Valentines Day

Valentines Day Kevin showed up at home with Yellow Tulips for me and roses for the girls, and beef jerky and sprite for Gabe. Emma and Lauren Loved getting flowers. They have bloomed and are so pretty. I love having fresh flowers to look at each day, especially Tulips (my favorite)

I am so happy to have Kevin in my life. We have so much fun together. We laugh, cry, fight and play. He has taught me so much and is so patient with me. I love just being in love with him and it comes so easy. Thanks Kevin for being the man I always dreamed of!

Girls weekend Scrapbooking

Twice a year the 5 of my friends and I go Scrapbooking for the weekend. We started scrapbooking together over 13 years ago. My older sister and her best friend started it and we have added to it over the years until we have all been doing this together a long time now. We used to go to ST. George and stay at my Grandmas condo in the fall then we started adding another retreat in the winter up in Midway. My Grandma sold her condo so now we go up to Midway in the winter and fall. We also get together once a month at a different scrapbook store. We used to get together at each others houses but now that we all have had so many kids and they are older we find it best to go to a store.
When I was going through my divorce I didn't really want to scrapbook so I have been slacking off for the past couple of years. This was my first trip back actually scrapbooking. It was so much fun. I am so grateful for my sister and my dear friends for all the laughs the teasing and the tears. I am so lucky to have them be a part of my life. They have been by my side forever!!! We have such a good time together, shopping, getting massages, resting and of course scrapbooking. Its great to scrapbook with others so that you can help each other create a page when you get stuck and of course to share the thousand of scrapbooking materials we have.

I had a very productive weekend. I did some shopping at the outlets and found some great bargains. Got a facial. Read the whole book Dear John. Had a photo shoot, and scrapbooked 45 pages!!!! I have some serious catching up to do.

What the table looks like when all our stuff and goodies are out
Shopping, shopping and more shopping
Good thing we have a Suburban to load all our shopping bags in!
Is this Heaven? No its a Crop

Reading the ending of Dear John... Such a good book

Sleding in the Snow.... Or the lack there of

The kids have been bugging us to go sledding, however we have not had much snow to go. Kevin decided that he would start the 4wheeler and pull them in the yard. As you can see not to much snow.... but the kids LOVED it.

Pinewood Derby

Gabe had his first Pinewood Derby. He had so much fun making his car and of course he colored it Green. He wouldn't have it any other way. The first race he almost won and then the next 2 races he won. We think the car needed to have a run first to get it going because afterwards when they got to play around he beat every car. Oh well he had really really fun and he can't wait until next year to do it again. Gabe really loves scouts and is so cute each week as he runs down to the church for scouts.
Gabe really loves his picture taken....

The cars all lined upped to be judged, his won for most areo dynamic

Setting up the car to race

Gabes is on the far right

Watching and hoping he wins. He actually won that race :)

Christmas

This year was really hard for me to not have the kids here Christmas morning or to read about the true meaning of Christmas to them the night before. I am grateful for them and for all the joy they bring to my life. and I was actually sad that they weren't there to wake me up before the sun was up. I'm sure it's hard for them too to go back and forth, however they get double the presents so I think that they aren't too heart broken over it. Santa seemed to bring everything they wanted this year!

The kids got Kevin a new helmet

Jacob got an Ipod touch

Emma got a camera

Gabe got a BB gun

Lauren got a barbie doll house

Christmas night we went over to my Moms and Dad for the family christmas party. The kids loved seeing their cousins from Arizona and playing with all of them. We played some intense games of Mario Kart and the kids put on their PJs that Grandma and Grandpa give them every year. It was a fun night with almost all of my family. We missed Russell who is still in the Air Force and his little girls. But it's always a good time when both my sisters are around.

Brighton

Since we didn't have kids the week before Christmas we took a friend trip up to Brighton and stayed at the lodge with Jackie, Chad, Luke and Nicole. We had dinner and then tried to break in to the hot tub but since we are not as young as we once were we couldn't get over the fence!!! LOL We got up early and went snowboarding. Kevin has never been skiing or snowboarding before and he was all nervous. We get to the top of the mountain, Chad told him what he needed to do and Kevin squats on down and goes down the hill as fast as he possibly can!! Hello safety first. Me on the other hand (being a skier) did not do so well. Once I learned how to move my board and how to get up when I would fall down, I did quite well. Until I landed so hard right on my tailbone.... I was done after that. Kevin kept going and has found a new sport that he loves. It was nice to just go and sit in the lodge after I wounded myself and sit by the fire with friends. This coming year Kevin wants to get a snowboard and go a lot more. Me on the other will continue with just skiing. Much safer, we all know how I can be!
