Baseball season is on it's way

Gabriel was very excited to start baseball this year. He is rather good at hitting the ball... he hits it pretty far. Which is good, because we really need to work on our running skills. Oh this boy likes to goof off to the bases and only makes it to 2nd base everytime when if he actually paid attention and run he would make it home. He loves to talk to everyone when they come to his base and see how they are doing. He will ask them their name and how old they are. He then will tease them to death by hitting them on top of their helmets. We are clearly learning the rules and hopefully by this time next year we will have a home run under our belt...

Yuba Lake

We took a little family vacation to Yuba Lake. We had originally planned to go to Lake Powell, but because of my work and we thought it best to stay closer incase the children lost control of themselves as they tend to do on an occasion. I have to say with Yuba Lake only an hour half away it was a lot of fun. They have sandy beaches so the kids can play and a pretty nice blue lake for all our activies in the boat. Jacob tried the wakeboard, got up for a minute... Wahooo! The kids loved loved loved the cliff jumping. They couldn't get enough of it. I was so proud of them, because the cliff was kindof high they were jumping off of. I finally can wakeboard.. what a task that has been. But now I can't get enough of it and I want to learn how to jump the wake. By the end of next summer I want to be pro!! I seriously can't get enough of it. I love having something I love to do. Oh but the muscles you use.. ouchy I get so sore. Kevin kept us fed and entertained the whole time. The only downside to Yuba Lake is it's Windy 9 days a week! But the times it's not it is a beautiful time. The kids loved it and had a blast. I think that next year we are heading down to Lake Powell with them all.

Jacob Soccer

Jacob was in a soccer tournament recently which determines who's the best of the best in the state. After 3 very long days, consisting of a tie, a win which was from a shoot out which Jake stopped everyone and on to the final day where they were playing for 1st place. It was an intense game with the other team scoring on a ball that bounced in a silly way so Jake missed it. Oh how Jake was frustrated. We came back to score a goal and then to have the other team come back and score another in the last 5 minutes of the game. So we are still proud to annouce that we took 2nd over all. Great Games Jake!

Happy 24th of July

Grandpa and the Spinetti's came over for a fantastic firework show.

We had a hard time keeping the sparklers lit!! What is with the sparklers these days? Whatever happended to the big huge fat sparklers that lasted long enough to write your name, your best friends name, and the boy you loved that day!! The kids just enjoyed being with their cousins that they don't get to see that often, so we had to have the classic on the front porch pictures for the year!! It was so good to see Brian, Angie, Riley and Nick. We love them so much and so sad to see them going home. It means summer is coming to a close and the kids will be back in school soon. I miss my family so much......... Time for my mom to come home!! Love you!

Lost a Tooth

Lauren lost her first Tooth. And she really did loose it! She dosen't know where it went so we had to write a letter to the tooth fairy to tell her she lost it and to please still leave some money. That night she said her prayers and she said "let the Tooth Fairy know that if I find my tooth I promise to give it to her, but please have her leave me some money" So cute.

Downtown/Gateway

While Angie was here we rode trax downtown to temple square to see the Temple, pretty flowers and eat some yummy food at the Lion House. Oh how I love those homemade rolls. Oh so good. The kids thought it was great to ride Trax and although the scenery on the way is not that great the kids thought it was fun to try and stand up every time the train started again and try not to fall down. And note to self do not bend over and tie your shoes on the stairs on the train those doors shut soooo fast your liable to lose something!!

The Pretty flowers with some darling children

Beautiful view of the Temple

Oh hurry!! The fountain is finally up!
